Posted by admin under Knowledges, MS Windows, Tutorial on December 17th, 2008.

If you are like me, you probably have several programs running at once. That means that I can’t get at all those icons on the desktop without minimizing all of the windows, right? Wrong. There is an easy way to get at the desktop icons and you don’t have to download any utility programs to do it either.

Step 1
Click the right mouse button on the Windows taskbar. This will open a menu. Point to the word “Toolbars” and a sub-menu will open. You should have something similar to the image in

Step 2
If there is not a check next to the word Desktop, click on Desktop. If there is, you can just press the escape key because the Desktop toolbar is already selected. Now the right-hand side of your desktop will look like Figure 2.

Step 3
If you click on the double greater than sign (>>) a menu will open with an entry for every icon on your desktop. If you have folders on your desktop, you will be able to view their contents as a sub-menu. (See Figure 3.)

Step 4
To run any of the programs listed on the menu, just click them as you would the Start menu.

If you want to know cheap notebooks, you must answer this question: what kind of notebook which you think can help you. In overall, there are 2 kinds of laptop buyers. The first kind is people who are searching for the best laptops. The second one are people who only want to find an average laptop, as long as it will be enough to help him doing general things. If you consider yourself as a person who needs “more” from your notebook, you should consider Dell XPS or HP Pavilion. However, you maybe already know that XPS and Pavilion are not cheap. Do you think there are many good but cheap notebooks? Yes, there are plenty but it’s a little bit difficult to find them.

If you want to buy a new notebook only to help your job, apparently it’s much easier to find one rather than if you want a cheap but new laptop. We can easily find average notebooks out there with less than $450 but usually those notebooks can’t help you more than just internet browsing, typing words in word processor software, and play some MP3 music and watch DVDs. But if you think these features are enough, then you can search notebooks which produced in 2006 or 2007. Usually their prices are much cheaper, even less than $400. Used notebooks are always cheaper than new ones, you must remember this. But it’s a little bit difficult to find high performance notebooks which are still new and cheap

Maybe you want to read some of my guides about “how to find cheap notebooks”. The first thing you need to know is the kind of the laptop, whether it is ultraportable or it is designed for gamers. Next, you need to know that your money is limited. To buy cheap notebook, you must go to some electronic stores and compare notebook prices there. Bring a book so you’ll not only compare the prices but you can take some note about the specifications and performances.

The first place you need to visit is eBay. There are many of used notebooks with cheap price tags there. Remember to not buy via Western Union because you can be scammed easily. Only use PayPal to buy things from eBay even if the seller has good reputation, don’t ever use Western Union. The second place in internet that you might want to try is Amazon.com. They have many cheap but new notebooks from different companies. Take notes from eBay and Amazon then compare them with prices from real stores. In the end, I think you can find a new laptop for you with cheap and satisfying price.
